Clams on Half Shell
About this item
Plump meat left sitting in its own shell, glossy peach and cream in colour with a dark siphon tip at one end. Nothing needs shucking and nothing needs picking through - they are cleaned and ready to go straight into the pot. As they cook they give up a deep, savoury liquor, and that liquor is worth keeping: add them early to a clear soup with ginger, fold them through pasta with a little white wine and garlic, or steam them under beaten egg for a soft, briny custard.

In the pack
Net weight is 2 kg per pack, weighed as it is packed — the dried cuttlefish is the exception and sells by its actual weight. Frozen packs keep at -18 °C or below, thaw overnight in the fridge and cook through. Every pack carries its own prep and cooking note.
Delivery & cold chain
Frozen packs leave us at -18 °C in an insulated box with cold packs; the swimming crab travels chilled and the dried cuttlefish travels sealed and dry. If a box arrives damaged or out of condition, reply to your order email and we will sort it out.
